Girls Set To Overpower USA
Falconet players have vowed to defeat defending champions, USA in the quarter finals of the on-going FIFA U-20 Women World Cup in Germany on Sunday 10.30am Nigerian Time.

The players who chorused ''we are tired of stopping at the quarter final level'', promised to “remain technically outstanding by keeping our fighting spirit, break this jinx and go for the trophy”

“The Americans could not beat Ghana, so why should we be scared of them?” asked Mr. James Peters, Assistant General Secretary (Technical).

“Falconets edged out continental champions Japan and England and would not find it difficult to add another victim on Sunday”, a Nigerian Embassy official Ayodele Ayodeji said.

USA, like Nigeria, has featured in all the five editions of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup. The two-time world champions played a 1-1 draw with Ghana at the group stage and breezed into the quarter final with wins over Korea and Switzerland. Both Falconets and the USA team are staying at the Dorint Hotel in Augsburg.
