MAIGARI SALUTES PRESIDENT GOODLUCK JONATHAN........CALLS FOR PRAYERS FOR FALCONETS
Ag. President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Alh. Aminu Maigari rained praises on the falconets for doing the continent of Africa proud by cruising into the finals of world women U-20 championship in Germany despite all odds.

An elated Maigari who watched the explosive semi final clash between the Nigerian girls and their Colombian counterparts alongside the representative of the First Lady, Mrs David Mark, Minister of information, Dora Akuyili, Minister of Defence, Minister of Commerce, Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amechi was full of gratitude to Mr. President and commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan (GCFR) for the support accorded the team and most importantly, his love and passion for the game of football that saw him rescind his earlier decision of withdrawing Nigeria’s participation in International competitions for 2 years.

Maigari who spoke to the triumphant girls shortly after lunch this afternoon urged them to go all out and humble the hard-fighting Germans in sunday's epic finals as a grand reception awaits them back home. He announced that a special package is being put together by the football federation in appreciation of their efforts in doing the Nation proud in Germany.

Nigerians are very proud of their performance and are solidly behind them he told the elated girls and team officials. He encouraged them to focus on the crucial game coming up on Sunday as Nigerians are praying for their success.

The girl danced with joy and full of expectations when they were told that the First Lady, Her Excellency Mrs Patience Jonothan will grace the finals with a powerful government delegation on Sunday.
